Some weeks ago, Susi, from susilk.etsy.com , contact with me trough etsy.com. We talk several times about our respectives etsy shops and the way we can do to improve our shops. In one of this talks I promise her a simple recipe to do soap and finally here is:
Simple Recipe for Natural Soap:
What you need?:
- 210 gr of olive oil
- 180 gr of coconut oil
- 210 gr of palm oil
- 84 gr of sodic hidroxide (NaOH)
- 230 gr of mineral water
- gloves
- blender
- glass container (never use aluminium)
How to proced:
Put the sodic hidroxide and the water in the glass container, remove and leave cool for 2 or 3 hours.
Past this time, put the oils in the blender container and add the caustic solutions gradually and blend for 10 or 20 minutes until the solutions appear like a sauce. This situation is called «trace» for all soapmakers.
At this moment you can put the essential oils or fragance. Do it with care, an remove with a spatula. No more than 30 gr of essential oil for every kilo of soap.
Put the soap in molds and covers with a blanket for 24 hours. Past this time, unmold the soap and leave repose for 3 weeks in a cool, dry place.
Pass this time you can use your fist natural soap! I hope you enjoy!
